How It Works

STEP 1

Upload Your Clips

Upload up to 10 video clips at once by selecting multiple files or dropping them all at once onto the upload zone. Each clip shows its filename, duration, and file size in the list. You can add more clips after the initial upload using the Add More button. Files up to 100 MB each are accepted on the free tier.

STEP 2

Reorder & Review

Drag clips up or down in the list to set the final playback order. Use the remove button to discard any clip you don't want to include. The total combined duration updates as you reorder and remove clips. When the order is correct, select your output format and click Merge.

STEP 3

Download Merged Video

Download the merged video as a single MP4 or WebM file. The clips are joined end-to-end with no transitions — a clean cut between each segment. The output filename is named "merged-video.mp4" so it doesn't conflict with any of your source files. It plays on all devices and platforms without any special software.

Merge Videos Features

Up to 10 Clips

Merge up to 10 video clips in a single session. Add all clips at once via multi-file select or drag-and-drop, or add them in batches using the Add More button. Each clip is shown with its name, duration, and file size so you can verify the list before merging. The free tier supports up to 10 clips; Pro supports up to 100.

Drag-to-Reorder

Drag any clip up or down in the list to set the exact sequence. This is critical when clips are numbered inconsistently or uploaded out of order. The reorder handles are shown on the left of each clip row — grab and drag to the desired position. The total duration preview updates as you rearrange clips.

Mixed Format Input

Upload clips in different formats — MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, and WebM — and merge them all into a single output file. The tool standardises the clips to a consistent codec and resolution before concatenating, so you don't need to manually convert each clip to the same format before merging. Output is always clean MP4 or WebM.

Common Use Cases

Join individual chapter recordings of a tutorial video, combine multiple screen-recording sessions into one file, merge parts of a split video download, join dashcam footage clips into a continuous recording, combine video segments of an event recorded across multiple phones, create a highlight reel from trimmed sports clips, or assemble a home video from separate vacation clips.

Remove Unwanted Clips

Each clip in the list has a remove button. If you uploaded a wrong file or changed your mind about including a particular segment, remove it from the list before merging without having to start over. The clip count and total duration update immediately when a clip is removed.

Private & No Account Needed

TLS 1.3 encrypted uploads. Files permanently deleted within 24 hours. No watermarks on merged videos. No account, signup, or personal information required for the free tier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Videos from different phones, cameras, and screen recorders often have different codecs, resolutions, frame rates, and containers. The tool standardises them to a consistent MP4 format with H.264 video and AAC audio before concatenating, so the merged video plays smoothly without jumps or quality inconsistencies between clips.

If all clips have the same resolution, frame rate, and codec, they are joined at keyframe boundaries with a clean cut — no glitch. If clips have different properties (e.g. different resolutions or frame rates), the tool re-encodes them to a uniform format, which also produces a clean cut. The Pro tier adds optional fade, dissolve, and wipe transitions between clips for a professional finish.

On the free tier, each clip can be up to 100 MB with up to 10 clips, so the total input can be up to 1 GB. The output file is typically smaller than the sum of inputs because the re-encoding process applies compression. Pro allows up to 500 MB per clip with up to 100 clips, supporting very long merged videos. The output file is returned as a direct download with no size limit on what can be downloaded.

This tool merges the video files as-is with their existing audio tracks. Adding background music, voiceover, or replacing the audio track is a different operation not currently supported in this tool. The audio from each clip is preserved and concatenated along with the video. If you need to modify the audio, extract the audio with the MP4 to MP3 tool first, edit as needed, and then recombine.
