How It Works

STEP 1

Upload Tracks

Upload two or more audio files. You can select multiple files at once using Ctrl+Click or Cmd+Click, or drag and drop them all at once. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, and OGG. All uploaded files appear in the track list where you can see their names and rearrange them. Free tier: up to 5 tracks, 50 MB total.

STEP 2

Order & Configure

Drag tracks up or down to set the order they will be joined. Optionally add a silence gap between each track (0.5–3 seconds) for a natural pause between segments — useful for separating chapters, podcast segments, or songs in a playlist. Choose the output format: MP3 (universal), WAV (lossless), or M4A (Apple).

STEP 3

Download Merged File

Click Merge and download the single combined audio file. All tracks are decoded and concatenated in sequence, with any requested silence gaps inserted between them. The output is encoded at a high bitrate to preserve audio quality from all input files regardless of their original format differences.

Merge Audio Features

Drag-to-Reorder Tracks

Arrange your audio files in any order before merging. Drag and drop tracks up or down in the list to set the exact playback sequence. This is essential for assembling podcast episodes, music albums, audiobook chapters, or any multi-part audio content that must play in a specific order.

Silence Gaps Between Tracks

Insert a configurable silence gap (0.5–3 seconds) between each track. Natural pauses between segments improve listenability for long-form content like audiobooks, lectures, and podcast compilations. No gap produces a completely seamless join — ideal for music medleys or DJ sets where continuous playback is desired.

Mixed Format Input

Combine audio files of different formats in a single merge. Mix MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, and OGG files — they are all decoded to a common format before joining, so format differences don't affect the result. You don't need to pre-convert all files to the same format before merging.

Multiple Output Formats

Choose MP3 for the most universal output that works everywhere. Choose WAV for a lossless merge that preserves every sample from lossless inputs. Choose M4A for Apple device compatibility and a smaller file than WAV. Output bitrate is optimized based on the format to maintain quality across all input sources.

Remove Individual Tracks

Remove any track from the list before merging without starting over. Click the remove button next to any file to exclude it from the merge. Add additional files at any time using the "Add more" button. This allows you to fine-tune the track list without re-uploading all files.

Private & No Account Needed

TLS 1.3 encrypted uploads. All files permanently deleted within 24 hours. No watermarks added to the merged audio. No account, signup, or personal information required for the free tier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. You can mix MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, and OGG files in a single merge job. Each file is decoded to PCM audio data first, then all the decoded audio is concatenated, and the result is encoded to your chosen output format. The different source formats don't affect the result — only the quality of each individual source file matters.

For most audio files, the join is seamless. Clicks can occur if a track ends mid-waveform at a non-zero amplitude. To prevent this: use the Audio Trim tool first to trim each track to a clean end point (where the waveform crosses zero), or add a fade-out on the trimmed version before merging. The Pro tier includes crossfade transitions that automatically eliminate clicks at join points by fading out one track while fading in the next.

Yes. When merging tracks with different sample rates (e.g. 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz), the tool resamples all tracks to a common rate before joining. 44.1 kHz is used as the target for music content; 48 kHz is used if any video-sync audio is detected. This ensures the merged file plays back at the correct speed and pitch throughout.

The free tier allows up to 5 tracks and a total combined size of 50 MB. The Pro tier has no track limit and accepts up to 500 MB total. There is no limit on the total duration of the merged output — you can merge a 5-minute and a 40-minute file into a 45-minute merged audio file as long as the total input size is within the tier limit.
