How It Works
Enter a Value
Type the number you want to convert into the From input. The conversion runs as you type — no Convert button needed. Decimals and very small or very large numbers are supported via scientific notation.
Pick Source & Target Units
Use the two dropdowns to choose source (From) and destination (To) units. The result updates automatically. Use the swap button to flip the conversion direction in one click.
See All Conversions
Below the main result, the All Conversions panel shows your input value converted into every supported unit at once — perfect for comparing metric vs imperial side by side.
Frequency Converter Features
SI Hertz
Hertz (Hz) is the SI frequency unit = 1 cycle per second. Kilohertz (kHz), megahertz (MHz), and gigahertz (GHz) scale up by ×1000.
Radio Frequencies
AM radio in kHz, FM radio in MHz, Wi-Fi & 5G in GHz. Convert between bands when reading radio specs.
Audio
Audio frequencies are 20 Hz – 20 kHz. Concert A = 440 Hz. Sample rates: CD 44.1 kHz, studio 96/192 kHz.
Motor RPM
RPM = revolutions per minute. 1 RPM = 1/60 Hz. A 3000 RPM motor = 50 Hz (matches Europe mains).
Live Conversion
Result updates on every keystroke. Convert CPU GHz to MHz, or radio band Hz to kHz instantly.
100% Private
All math runs in your browser. Safe for any use case.

Frequently Asked Questions
1 RPM = 1/60 Hz ≈ 0.01667 Hz. So 60 RPM = 1 Hz. Multiply RPM by 60 to get Hz × 60, then divide by 60 to convert to Hz.
Both measure rotation/oscillation, but rad/s counts in radians (2π per cycle) while Hz counts cycles. 1 Hz = 2π rad/s ≈ 6.283 rad/s. Physics uses rad/s for angular velocity ω; everyday and electronics use Hz.
In gigahertz (GHz). A 3.6 GHz CPU completes 3.6 billion clock cycles per second. Convert to MHz by ×1000 (3600 MHz) or to Hz by ×10⁹.
AM: 530–1700 kHz. FM: 88–108 MHz. Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz. 5G: 600 MHz – 39 GHz depending on band. Use this converter to switch between Hz, kHz, MHz, and GHz.
Europe and most of Asia/Africa use 50 Hz; North America and parts of Latin America use 60 Hz. The choice was made in the early 20th century and has stuck. 50 Hz = 3000 RPM synchronous motor; 60 Hz = 3600 RPM.
