How It Works

AI-powered image enhancement in three simple steps

STEP 1

Upload Your Image

Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. Works with any image — photos, artwork, screenshots, scanned documents, and more. Free plan supports up to 3 images at once, max 10 MB each. The smaller and lower-resolution the source, the more dramatic the enhancement.

STEP 2

Choose Enhancement Mode

Select 2× or 4× upscale. Choose enhancement mode: "Photo" for general images, "Portrait" for better face rendering, "Artwork" for illustrations, or "Text" for crisp document upscaling. Optionally enable noise reduction, JPEG artefact removal, and edge sharpening.

STEP 3

Download Enhanced Image

Receive your enhanced image at 2× or 4× the original resolution with sharper detail, reduced noise, and recovered texture. Download as PNG, JPG, or WebP. The result is ready for print, display, or further editing.

AI Enhancement Features

Super-resolution technology that goes beyond simple upscaling

AI Super-Resolution

Our AI upscaling uses a convolutional neural network trained on millions of image pairs to synthesise plausible detail at higher resolutions. Unlike traditional upscaling that blurs or pixelates, the AI infers what the missing pixels should look like based on image context and learned visual patterns.

Noise Reduction

Sensor noise from high-ISO photography and compression artefacts from JPEG encoding are both removed by the enhancement model. Noise reduction is applied before upscaling to prevent amplifying grain, resulting in clean, smooth areas with naturally preserved texture in high-detail zones.

Portrait Enhancement

The "Portrait / face" mode applies a face-aware restoration model that recovers skin texture, sharpens eyes, and reconstructs facial features with greater accuracy than the general photo model. Ideal for old or low-resolution portrait photos, scanned ID pictures, and social media profile images.

Artwork & Illustration Mode

Artwork mode preserves the style of digital illustrations, line art, and painted artwork while upscaling. It sharpens line edges without smearing colour fills, avoids hallucinating photographic texture in flat areas, and maintains the original artistic style throughout the enhancement process.

Text & Document Mode

The Text mode is optimised for scanned documents, screenshots with text, and infographics. It maximises edge contrast for characters, suppresses background noise from scans, and produces crisply readable text at 2× or 4× the original resolution — ideal for making old scans print-ready.

100% Private

Images are processed over TLS 1.3 in isolated server containers. All uploaded source images and enhanced outputs are permanently deleted within 24 hours. Your images are never used to retrain the AI model, never indexed, and never shared with third parties.

Frequently Asked Questions

Traditional upscaling (bilinear, bicubic, Lanczos) mathematically interpolates between existing pixels — it can only average what's already there, leading to blurring or haloing at edges. AI super-resolution uses a neural network trained on millions of high-resolution/low-resolution image pairs to learn what details are plausible at higher resolutions. It synthesises new pixel information rather than interpolating, producing genuinely sharper edges, recovered textures, and more natural-looking results.

Images that benefit most: low-resolution photos from old cameras or mobile devices, compressed JPEGs with visible artefacts, scanned documents or old photographs, small product thumbnails that need print-quality output, and screenshots of text or UI that need to be enlarged for presentations. Photos with very complex, random textures (water surfaces, grass fields) can look slightly over-processed — the "Photo" mode handles these best.

It depends on the source image and the print size. As a rough guide: a 4× AI upscale of a 1 MP image (1000×1000 px) produces a 4000×4000 px output, which is suitable for a 13×13 cm print at 300 DPI. For larger prints, starting with a higher-resolution source gives better results. AI enhancement dramatically improves the printability of low-resolution images, but cannot create detail that simply wasn't captured in the original scene.

Processing time depends on image resolution and the selected upscale factor. A 4× upscale of a 1 MP image typically takes 5–15 seconds. Larger source images and 4× enhancement take longer because the output resolution is 16× the source pixel count. Pro users benefit from priority GPU queue access and consistently faster processing times even during peak load.
